Mission
The Truck Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and compliant delivery of chemical products and related equipment (including pumps) to customer locations. This role ensures accurate loading/unloading, adheres to DOT and California state regulations, and provides excellent customer service while representing the company professionally on the road and onsite.
Key ResponsibilitiesDriving & Delivery
· Operate company commercial vehicles to deliver chemicals, pumps, and related materials to customer sites across California.
· Conduct pre‑trip, en‑route, and post‑trip vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT and company standards.
· Ensure all transported products are secured, clearly labeled, and compliant with hazardous materials regulations.
Chemical & Pump Handling· Safely load and unload chemical containers, totes, and drums using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual methods as required.
· Handle pumps and injection systems for delivery, exchange, or basic onsite setup.
· Follow proper procedures for transferring chemical products when necessary.
· Maintain safe handling practices aligned with company protocols and SDS requirements.
Safety & Compliance· Adhere strictly to DOT, FMCSA, Cal/OSHA, and EPA regulations, including hazardous materials (HazMat) handling.
· Maintain accurate logs, delivery documentation, and chain‑of‑custody records.
· Wear required PPE and follow correct spill‑response and emergency procedures.
· Report any incidents, spills, or vehicle issues immediately.
Customer Service· Provide professional, courteous service at customer sites.
· Verify delivery quantities, obtain signatures, and resolve basic delivery questions.
· Communicate effectively with dispatch, customer service, and warehouse teams.
Profile
Required
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Valid California Commercial Driver’s License (Class A or B), depending on vehicle requirements.
· HazMat (H) endorsement required or obtainable within onboarding timeline.
· Clean driving record meeting company insurance standards.
· Minimum 1–3 years of commercial driving experience.
· Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
Preferred
· Experience delivering chemical products, agricultural inputs, or industrial supplies.
· Familiarity with pump equipment used in chemical dosing or fluid transfer.
· Prior work in food safety, sanitation, environmental services, or chemical distribution.
Skills & Competencies
· Strong understanding of safe chemical handling practices.
· Ability to read SDS documents and apply PPE requirements.
· Mechanical aptitude to handle pump equipment.
· Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
· Attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping.
Work Environment
· Frequent exposure to outdoor weather, industrial environments, and chemical handling areas.
· Requires wearing PPE including gloves, goggles, boots, and protective clothing.
· Regular standing, lifting, climbing, and working around moving equipment.
